At KS5, our commitment to the belief that one size does not fit all continues to be seen. As an IBO school, we offer both the IBDP and the IBCP, as well as BTEC and ASDAN courses.
Our small, friendly and unique community is what makes our school so special. We have a firm belief that learning is not confined to the classroom and we place as much emphasis on learning and growth outside of the classroom. In addition to this, superb pastoral care lies at the heart of everything we do and we are firmly committed to ensuring that every child in our care is happy, healthy and successful. Every student is part of a small and nurturing tutor group, led by two members of staff and through a structured and exciting programme of assemblies, tutor times and PSHE students grow in confidence, interpersonal skills and develop an understanding of awareness of the wider world.
At S107, we offer an extensive ECA and activities programme. ECAs run after school from Monday through to Thursday and students can select from a huge range of both physical and non physical ECAs, ECAs from external providers or led by staff or students. All students work towards a clear goal or outcome each term as part of their ECA and we showcase the students’ learning every term. Additionally, such is our commitment to enrichment and non academic learning, every Friday afternoon is timetabled enrichment time where students and staff take part together in either physical or non physical activities. It is a wonderful way to end the week together whether you are part of the animal welfare club, Thai cookery, Gymnastics or Table Tennis!
At S107, we have a well established Duke of Edinburgh programme with over half of our students in Year 10 and above taking part and completing the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards. Furthermore, residentials are an integral part of life at S107 and all students are invited to take part in one every year from Y7-10 and in Y12.
